Dutch Bros Birthday Drink: How to Get Your Free Drink (2027)

A free birthday drink is one of the best perks of joining Dutch Rewards, and it is worth claiming wisely. The reward covers any drink up to a large (32 oz iced), so you can pick the most expensive thing on the menu. This guide explains who qualifies, how to set up your birthday, how long the reward lasts, what it is worth and the best drinks to order.

. Rules can change; the Dutch Bros app always has the current terms.

How the Dutch Bros birthday reward works

Add your birthday well in advance. Members often cannot change the date once it is set, and newly added birthdays may not trigger a reward immediately.

What is the birthday drink worth?

The most valuable choices are large protein lattes, blended Rebels and shakes, all above $7 at many shops.

Best birthday drinks to order

• Large Birthday Cake Shake: made for the occasion, with no caffeine.
• Large blended Rebel: the most expensive energy drink.
• Large protein latte: high value and 30 grams of protein or more.
• Large seasonal Freeze: try the current seasonal drink.

Birthday drink value by choice

Because the reward covers any drink, the value depends on what you order. Here is the difference between choosing a cheap drink and an expensive one.

Common birthday reward questions

Many members wonder whether they can use the reward on a different day, share it with someone else, or combine it with points. In general, the reward is tied to your account and must be used within the window shown in the app. You can usually redeem points on a second drink in the same visit. If anything looks wrong, contact Dutch Bros through the app.

Celebrating at Dutch Bros

Some shops and broistas go out of their way for birthdays, with a doodle on the cup or a cheer at the window. Let them know it is your birthday when you order. If you are celebrating with friends, try a round of the best Dutch Bros drinks or the current seasonal menu.

Birthday drinks with less sugar

If you want a celebratory drink without a lot of sugar, a large sugar-free Rebel or a large Myst gives you a big, colorful drink with very few calories. See sugar-free drinks for options.

Birthday reward checklist

1. Join Dutch Rewards.
2. Add your birthday to your profile.
3. Keep notifications on.
4. Use the reward before it expires.
5. Choose a large, high-value drink.

What if I miss my birthday reward?

If the reward expires before you use it, it usually cannot be reissued. Set a reminder for the start of your birthday week, and make sure your app notifications are on. If the reward never appeared, check that your birthday is in your profile and that your account was active before your birthday. Customer support in the app can help if something went wrong. Members who joined just before their birthday may need to wait until the following year.

Birthday drink ideas by taste

Make it extra special by adding Soft Top or boba. Customizations may or may not be covered by the reward depending on your shop, so ask at the window.
